The High Speed Quad was developed around a simple requirement: provide dependable control without slowing down boards designed to move exceptionally fast. Some of the design inspiration comes from George Greenough’s pioneering high-aspect fin concepts, and in particular the Greenough High Speed—a slender, low-area design developed to generate lift and maintain control with minimal drag. Building on those same fundamental principles, the High Speed Quad applies a high-aspect approach to a modern four-fin setup designed specifically for guns, step-ups, and other boards intended for powerful surf. The tall, narrow templates place depth deeper into clean water while keeping overall surface area and drag low, providing dependable hold and directional stability as speed increases. The result is a purpose-built fin set that draws from proven high-speed design principles while adapting them for the demands of modern big-wave surfing.
